About Me

I am 25 years old, and a two-time Leukemia survivor. I was a Make-A-Wish Foundation Ambassador for several years after my 1999 bone marrow transplant. I am also an avid snowboarder, longboarder, camper, dancer, golfer, traveler, and husband. I take pride in my work but I also like to make sure I am having fun and a good time, as well.
I used to own a small custom longboard (skateboard) business with my good friend Spencer Frandsen in Utah. We designed and built longboards from the very beginnings of choosing the wood, to the designing, cutting, shaping, and making each board its own unique piece of art. There is nothing like creating something made by the earth and feeling and seeing the stages it goes through. Jonny Boards is on a break for now. But I do occasionally find myself  sawing, sanding, and building a board here and there.
I am now currently a junior in the ASU Industrial Design class, where I am loving it. Recently two of my classmates and I started up our own design firm, Avocado Design Works, where I am the Chief Creative Officer. We are learning a lot, loving it, and helping other start up companies, with producing their own ideas. I strive on being detail-oriented  in my creativity and to see the little things. I am still searching for what field of design I want to do, but right now I love it all. I do love glasses and the fine detail and styles that go into each pair. With that said, you’ll find me switching my eyewear daily, with many frames I have accumulated over the years, thanks to my dad that easily has over 25 pairs of his own. Other than eyewear I enjoy the outdoors, longboarding, the city, photography, the skate culture and spending as much time with my gorgeous wife as I can.
Hi….. My name is Jon Paul Orrock White and I am a Industrial designer.
